NEW! 2 Dope Boys & A Podcast

@farflungphil & @_michaelbrooks have a new podcast & I’m down!

I’m thrilled to be part of this recently launched podcast series that’s part of Sam Seder’s Majority.fm network.  In addition to 2 Dope Boyz, Majority.fm produces Majority Report with Sam Seder and Sportocracy.  2 Dope Boys (not to be confused with the hip hop music site 2DopeBoyz) is right up my alley because the focus is on trends, cultural insight and “what’s happening and why in the worlds of culture, business, technology, fashion and sports.”

It’s also cool that I get to hang out with Phil McKenzie and Majority Report contributor Michael Brooks.  We all have this driving interest in making sense of contemporary culture and the impact it has on the marketplace.

The other thing I already love about this is that it’s not something I have to do every week.  This is Phil and Michael’s show.  But they’ve smartly assembled a great group–five other folks in addition to me–to act as a rotating crew.  A few of them I’ve known prior to this: Larry Ossei-Mensah, Hyun Kim and CC Concepcion.  I’m looking forward to getting to know the other two crew members, Biz Ghormley (who I only just met) and Georgette Pierre.

As of this writing, there are two full episodes plus an introductory five minutes available on iTunes.  My first episode appears next week and you’ll hear us talk about Whole Foods selling pre-peeled oranges, Afrosoca, the rebranding of General Electric, and more.

Shout out to Reza Aslan for his early support:
